EAU Lithium is pleased to announce that 5m3 of brine samples taken from Salar de Coipasa, Salar de Pastos Grande and Salar de Empexa arrived at the Port of Arica in Chile on January 15th, 2025, and are now enroute abord the MSC Freeport as of January 28th to Germany. The journey is scheduled to take 58 days with an estimated arrival in Hamburg, Germany on March 27th, 2025. Once through German customs it will be sent to Vulcan’s (ASX:VUL) testing facility in Insheim and trialled at bench and pilot scale using Vulcan’s proprietary sorbent, VULSORB, which is licenced to EAU Lithium. Whilst the brines are in transit EAU will finalise a proposal with Vulcan to conduct synthetic brine testing at lab scale ahead of a fulsome technical analysis of the shipped bulk brine samples. This approach allows for some early results to be shared with YLB and meets key requirements of the testing agreement in addition to assessing the chemical reactivity with Vulcan’s proprietary technology over multiple production cycles at pilot scale. This information will be provided as per the technology and testing agreement to YLB by EAU Lithium in Q2 2025.
